Present Past

Above: Flyer for the City Center gig with Adam Pierce in Hamtramck this weekend at Lo & Behold. It's a release party for the "Welcome Low Flying Kites" cassette I just released on Adam's label Nary. You should come out, it'll be a fun hang and most likely outside in the grassy vacant lot beside the shop.

Below: A photo (courtesy of Geoff Walker) of the "Skatepark Edition" of the Lovesick/This Robot Kills 12" that came out in 1999. Of course the covers weren't done in time for the record release show, so Zach from TRK did 20 super-quick two color silkscreen covers and this was his design for the Lovesick side. There were only 300 copies total, and I only have one of the regular ones, let alone this skatepark edition. The skatepark edition has much-debated origins, but as I understand it, the term comes from when Necros played a record release gig at a skatepark and the covers for the record weren't done yet so they made up some crazy ones. This is kind of a Michigan thing, but I'm sure that it happens everywhere all the time.

  4. Adam Pierce put the tape out on his label Nary, and I think he has a few copies left. Email him at adam.n.pierce (at) gmail (dot) com for more info!
